Festival Rescheduling

Friends of Rockin Sun Festival, We haven't given you an update for some time now and for that we apologize. While things appeared really quiet, the truth is that all team members of the festival are trying really hard to bring you what we promised; the first big international modern music festival in Cyprus. Being the most ambitious project of its kind, it was without doubts that we were going to face challenges along the way. Despite all our efforts to bring you Rockin Sun Festival on the 2nd and 3rd of June it is technically impossible to organize such a big event in a few months’ time. We were very ambitious that good will and excitement would help at surpassing any dead ends along the way. This year alone, a number of music festivals around Europe (established and not) were forced to be canceled because of the economic crisis and various technical issues that come along. In order not to share the same fate, we came to the conclusion at rescheduling the festival for the end of the summer. By moving the festival to a later date, we are going to have more time to correctly organize and also bring you the best music festival experience as promised. By the end of April we will have a new official date and venue that will allow us to make the festival a reality. We are currently in talks with all the artists and we are hopeful that most of them will make the new date. The only band that unfortunately we already know can't make it on a new date is our co-headliner, Finnish Metal Gods CHILDREN OF BODOM. Being one of your favorite metal artists we have come to an agreement to have a full CHILDREN OF BODOM SHOW in Pavilion Hall Nicosia on Saturday 2nd of June, 2012. Details and a full press release will be available in a few days on our official facebook page and web site www.re3ject.com. We would like to thank all the festival artists, sponsors, supporters and you the fans for understanding and continuing this adventure with us. Our thousands of website visitors and hundreds of e-mails, tweets and facebook posts from fans, volunteers, artists and overall supporters prove that the festival will be very exciting indeed despite the changes. All on-line ticket holders will be contacted with various options for their purchase. Pre-sale for the re-scheduled festival will pause and re-start after the new date will be announced. Φίλοι του Rockin Sun Festival, Για αρκετό καιρό τώρα δεν είχατε ενημέρωση για τα νέα του φεστιβάλ και γι 'αυτό ζητάμε συγνώμη. Θέλουμε να ξέρετε ότι όλα τα μέλη της ομάδας του φεστιβάλ προσπαθούν με όλη τους τη δύναμη να κάνουν πραγματικότητα το πρώτο μεγάλο διεθνές φεστιβάλ σύγχρονης μουσικής στην Κύπρο. Όντας το πιο φιλόδοξο έργο στο είδος του, γνωρίζαμε ότι αναμφισβήτητα θα αντιμετωπίζαμε μεγάλες προκλήσεις στην πορεία. Παρ 'όλες τις προσπάθειές μας, το Rockin Sun  Festival δεν θα πραγματοποιηθεί τελικά στις 2 και 3 Ιουνίου, όπως είχε αρχικά ανακοινωθεί. Είναι τεχνικά αδύνατον να οργανωθεί ένα τόσο μεγάλο γεγονός σε διάστημα λίγων μηνών. Ήμασταν πολύ φιλόδοξοι ότι η καλή θέληση και ο ενθουσιασμός από όλους τους συνεργάτες μας θα βοηθούσε στο ξεπέρασμα τυχόν δυσκολιών. Φέτος αρκετά άλλα μουσικά φεστιβάλ σε όλη την Ευρώπη  αναγκάστηκαν να ακυρωθούν λόγω της οικονομικής κρίσης και άλλων διαφόρων τεχνικών ζητημάτων. Για να μην έχουμε την ίδια μοίρα, καταλήξαμε στο συμπέρασμα ότι η μετακίνηση του φεστιβάλ για το τέλος του καλοκαιριού είναι η καλύτερη λύση. Με τη μετακίνηση του φεστιβάλ σε μια μεταγενέστερη ημερομηνία, θα έχουμε περισσότερο χρόνο για να οργανωθεί σωστά η όλη διοργάνωση. Έτσι, όπως είχαμε υποσχεθεί, θα μπορέσουμε να προσφέρουμε σε όλους την καλύτερη φεστιβαλική εμπειρία χωρίς να θυσιάσουμε την ποιότητα. Μέχρι το τέλος Απριλίου θα ανακοινώσουμε μια νέα επίσημη ημερομηνία και χώρο που θα μας επιτρέψουν να κάνουμε το μεγαλεπίβολο αυτό φεστιβάλ πραγματικότητα. Συζητούμε και έχουμε επαφές με όλους τους καλλιτέχνες και τα συγκροτήματα και είμαστε αισιόδοξοι ότι ή συντριπτική πλειοψηφία θα είναι παρόν στο Rockin Sun Festival ανεξάρτητα από την μετακίνησή του σε μεταγενέστερη ημερομηνία. Η μόνη μπάντα που δυστυχώς ήδη γνωρίζουμε ότι δεν θα δύναται να εμφανιστεί σε μεταγενέστερη ημερομηνία λόγω του προγράμματος της περιοδείας του είναι οι θρυλικοί Children of Bodom από τη Φινλανδία. Για να μην χάσουμε την ευκαιρία να χαρούμε στην Κύπρο ένα από τα πιο αγαπημένα συγκροτήματα στο χώρο της metal έχουμε ήδη συμφωνήσει με τους Children of Bodom όπως στη θέση της προγραμματισμένης για το φεστιβάλ εμφάνισης τους, να εμφανιστούν ζωντανά σε μια αποκλειστική συναυλία στη Λευκωσία. Με περισσότερο χρόνο από ότι θα είχαν σε ένα φεστιβάλ, οι Children of Bodom θα ξεσηκώσουν το Pavillion Hall στην πρωτεύουσα το Σάββατο 2 Ιουνίου 2012 σε μια αποκλειστική headline συναυλία. Λεπτομέρειες και πλήρες δελτίο τύπου θα ανακοινωθεί τις επόμενες μέρες στην επίσημη ιστοσελίδα μας www.re3ject.com όπως και στο επίσημο προφίλ μας στο Facebook. Θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε όλους τους καλλιτέχνες, χορηγούς, υποστηρικτές και τους οπαδούς για την κατανόηση και συνεχή υποστήριξη στο δύσκολο έργο που έχουμε αναλάβει. Οι χιλιάδες  επισκέπτες της ιστοσελίδας του φεστιβάλ και τα εκατοντάδες e-mail, tweets και facebook posts από τους οπαδούς, τους εθελοντές και καλλιτέχνες μας δίνει τη δύναμη και την πεποίθηση ότι το φεστιβάλ θα είναι επιτυχία παρά τις αλλαγές στις οποίες είμαστε υποχρεωμένοι να προχωρήσουμε. Όλοι οι κάτοχοι on-line εισιτηρίων για το φεστιβάλ θα ενημερωθούν εντός των ήμερων με διάφορες επιλογές ως προς την αγορά που ήδη έχουν κάνει. Η προπώληση εισιτηρίων με τη νέα ημερομηνία διεξαγωγής του φεστιβάλ θα ξεκινήσει με την οριστικοποίηση και ανακοίνωση των αλλαγών. Για την ώρα σας ευχόμαστε κάλο Πάσχα. Announcement

Dear Rockers and Ravers this is it !

We are very excited to announce that the Legendary Classic Rockers URIAH HEEP will Headline RockiN Sun Festival 2012 on June 3rd.
One of the greatest modern bands, Finnish Metallers CHILDREN OF BODOM, will co-headline the Saturday the 2nd of June for their 15th Anniversary EuropeanTour!
